Top 4 Local Fall Festivals

It's almost here! Can you feel it? Can you smell it in the air? Tomorrow is the first day of FALL! Cooler temperatures (finally!), leaves changing colors, pumpkin spice everything...AND Fall Festivals! 

It's the perfect time of year to celebrate with friends and family.  Here are some of the best events happening in Forsyth County this year. 


Play at the Park Family Fun Festival


  • Where: Fowler Park, 4110 Carolene Way
  • When: October 1st, 11 am - 9 pm
  • What's Happening: Hot Air Balloons, Vendors, Kid's Activities, Live Entertainment, Food Trucks, and more!
  • Details:  The festival kicks off at 11 am - 4pm. Hot air balloon rides, food trucks, and live entertainment can be enjoyed 4 pm - 9 pm.

Cumming Country Fair and Festival


  • Where: Cumming Fairgrounds, 235 Castleberry Road
  • When: October 6th - October 16th
  • What's Happening: Rides, Concerts, Competition Awards Ceremony, Miss Cumming Fair Pageant, CHOA Parade, American Bull Riders Tour, and a Visit from the Marvel Superheroes Team. 
  • Details: Monday-Thursday 4 pm - 10 pm, Friday 4 pm - Midnight, Saturday 10 am - Midnight, Sunday 12:30 pm - 9 pm. Admission is $7 for adults, $3 for students (5-18), and children 4 and under are free! Be sure to check out the schedule for info on free admission days and times. There are also special prices on unlimited rides on select dates.

Pumpkin Palooza at Warbington Farms

  • Where: Warbington Farms, 5555 Crow Road
  • When: October 15th, 10 am - 10 pm
  • What's Happening: Pumpkin Activities and Games, Pumpkin Patch, Hayrides, Petting Zoo, Fun Park, Corn Maze, Cake Walk, Vendors.
  • Details: Admission is $10. It includes all farm activities. Vendor items, concessions, cake walk, and face painting is an additional cost.

Hay Day


  • Where: Save the Horses, 1768 Newt Green Road
  • When: October 22nd, 11 am - 4 pm
  • What's Happening: Pony Rides, Hay Rides, Petting Zoo, Face Painting, Crafts and Games for Kids, Cake Walk, Plate Lunches, Homemade Baked Goods, Vendors, Raffle Prizes, Chili Cook Off
  • Details: This is a great opportunity to give back while having fun-filled day with your family. Save the Horses rescues and rehabilitates abused and/or retired working horses. They are an all-volunteer organization, operating solely on donations. All proceeds from the festival go towards buying hay for the horses to see them through the winter.

Pumpkin Smashin' Fun

  • Where: North Georgia Zoo, 2912 Paradise Valley Rd, Cleveland 30528
  • When: November 4th-6th & 11th-13th, 11 am - 4 pm
  • What's Happening: Working Farm, Petting Zoo, Hayride, Tours, Animal Encounters
  • Details: Don't let your pumpkins rot. Bring your post-halloween pumpkins to the farm to smash! They are very nutritious and you can help feed them to the animals!
